"A Downgrader was created so you can downgrade from 2.5 back to 1.5. I could write another editorial ont he downgrader alone, so ill leave that issue till the next editorial i write.

yeh most ppl have 2.0 firmware now. only the idiots have 2.60, to play games like GTA and Socom u need 2.0, i just used the upgrade on my socom disk. who wants location free ANYWAYS lol

Actually, Sony like howebrew, they released a Linux kit for the PS2, However they are worried because it is so easy to download and play PSP games, with hardly any knowledge to do so. Sony depends on PSP games to bring in the revenue, because they sell the PSP at a loss and make up the difference in software liscenses.

Soul your correct in every way. I think still they can leave the system open sourced to allow homebrew. From there people will be so hooked into normal homebrew that they wont need to get iso rips but thats my opinion

can you downgrade 2.71 back 2 any firmware because i upgraded 4 a game demo called locoroco and was very dissapointed plz can u help coz there is so many homebrews and i want my moneys worth out of my psp
