For me, it was worth it. I was going on vacation and wanted to put roms on the R4 so I don't need to drag around 25 DS games and cases. I got it really fast and it works perfect, so even if the price was $100 i would still probably pay that much for this amazing thing.
And kinda off topic but:
Movies on the DS using moonshell works so great. I watched Die Hard 4.0 on the airplane on my trip and it was great. The converting on the computer took a little while, and at first splits it up into multiple files (2 different sound files and a weird video file), but in the end it all puts it together to form one file (i forgot the file extension =P) Also, the file size was a bit big, but thats what 2gb cards are for.
