to modify or install anything into the psp's flash memory (like gameboots, themes etc.), the psp must have a custom firmware installed. depending on what firmware you psp is on, can depend on how you can install a custom firmware. if your psp is on v3.51 or above, then the only way you can install a custom firmware is by using a pandora's battery. have a look in the tutorial section for some guides.
