| GamingCrazy Guru ![]() | Anime Newb Guide ![]() Most of you people are cluless on most things anime so I set up a little guide for the clueless ones among us. Few things you should know... 1.PSPCrazy is not the only place you can get anime! For all you people requesting this and that, try a google search or SOMTHING first, It is almost garunteed you will find somthing. 2.Never pay for anime Unless its an offical release of the series. I have seen people go to pay sites to get their anime, and seriously, why? Unless you got cash to burn, I would suggest not going to pay sites. Check other sites, somewhere is bound to have it. Ask one of us senior anime watchers if all else fails. 3.Dont know somthing about an anime? Go to sites like [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and sites like that. Tidbits of Knowledge -Most anime comes out in 26 episodes, they usually come in increments of 13 episodes. -THERE ARE MORE SERIES THAN NARUTO AND BLEACH! Seriously, so many good series come out all the time, and you force yourself to sit through fillers, do yourself a favor and watch somthing else. There is nothing wrong with these really popular series, but there are more things that you could be watching. -Do not judge anime as a whole as Pokemon, or Yugioh. Those dubbed shows are anime but are completly childish compared to almost all others. -If you dont like it, dont complain, or say it sucks. Keep it to yourself, because a lot of us really like it, if its not for you, keep your mouth shut, or rather, keep your hands off the keyboard. Links Many people have asked me, "Where do you get all this new anime"? New anime comes out in a varity of places. First of all, you will need bittorent. If you dont know what that is, google it, there is a client you can download, and releases come out in torrent files. These are files opened by that client and download based on how many people have finished the file and uploaded it again, which is how things work. Dont ask for Torrent help here, its not the place. The sites that anime comes out on are: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] This site includeds anything anime or jappenese related, including anime, (RAWs,English Subs, Subs in other languages, Music, Music videos,Hentai, etc) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] This site only has Subbed anime, and is very organized, compared to others. Direct Download sites I know there is a thread for these, but many of them are old. Here are the few of my favorite sites. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (This site has many anime series, manga series, online anime streams, OSTs, and many more things, it updates frequently and usually has new releases as they come out) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (Has many anime series for download) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (Another of my favorite anime sites that has Rapidshare galore. All anime there is RMVB. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (This site has many series to chose from, but for me downloads have either been slow, or unreliable, but does have a great selection) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (This is Vanquiz's site, and also has many anime downloads) News Sites [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] has all news concerning anime you will ever want....or not want, your choice. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Has links to popular anime blogs, which review new episodes, and whatnot. Wallpapers Anime Terms Anime- Jappenese animation, usually subbed by fansubbing groups for us to watch. Hentai-Anime Porn, I dont like this stuff, but I dont represent everybody obviously Fansub- A anime episode with subtitles in various languages. Released by many fansubbing groups on the above websites. Dub- A anime episode that has been translated and re-voiced, or dubbed, to that language. This is what you seen on TV, many series have also been censored due to being to "mature" for us to handle. RAW- This is the unsubbed anime that airs in Japan, usually untouched. Dont watch unless you understand Jappenese, and if your reading this, Im assuming you dont. Manga- These are the Jappenese 'comics' that many anime series are usually based off of. Scanlation-Manga translations to english. If you have anything to add, please post it in this thread, Thanks. ![]() Last edited by boneheadjoe9; 10-29-2006 at 07:55 PM.. |

| Re: Anime Newb Guide Ooooh, very nice guide. Even though I've been watching anime for a couple of months now, I'd still class myself as bit of a newb. I only knew about one site to download anime from (excluding here), which was a pay site. And cuz it had been recommended, I signed up to there. Although, I have now concluded, that at least there, it was downloads from there server, and it was a lot quicker than the free sites to download anime, and I could pause it with flashget (always a bonus). Cancelled it for now though and trying some of these free sites ![]() |
