An Apple TV Box would be a step backwards. I like having movie collections. With BLU RAY and HD, the quality of videos and eye candy suddenly becomes a factor in what your going to watch, and its cool to buy Open Season just so that when people come over you can show off your awesome set. IMO Apple is sucking lately. I think the Zune kills the iPod, and I have both. I think the iphone and itouch are nothing innovative. I think a super thin laptop thats still as big and wide as a normal 17" laptop is a waste of time and If I was to get a laptop, it'd actually be good, with a Windows operating system, more than a gig of ram, and more than a maximum of 80 freakin gigs of HDD space. I think they are desperate with their gay commercials on Mac OS trumphing Vista, when its clearly not true. In one of their top 10 reasons to get a Mac on their site, one of the top 5 is that it can also run Vista. ![]()

| GamingCrazy Newbie ![]() | Re: Blu Ray Or HDDVD i've been a blu-ray fan from the start. Once i saw that a dual layer blu disc holds 50gb and hd-dvd only holds 30 i was sold. Sure, sony has been a bit behind on some of the features, but that will come with time, sony has a lot on their hands. I would hate to invest alot of money in a lower capacity disc right off the bat. HD-dvd wont die soon though. MS has (stupidly) invested too much money in it and they wont let it die without a fight. |

| Moderator ![]() | Re: Blu Ray Or HDDVD I say blu-ray. so much space, the 200gb ones are sick!! blu-ray is destroying hd-dvd imo. I heard disney is gonna go blu-ray, mightve been like a dream or something (I do that lots), and umm. yeah, not a fan personally of disney, well some stuff...but just think, disney is massive!! if they went just blu-ray, thered be tons of people that would go blu-ray (families, fans, etc.) and their stuff sells so much. theyre one of those companies, that unless they go in a totally opposite direction, which I dont think they will, they will never die. and going blu-ray isnt a totally different direction, its just taking a small chance.

| GamingCrazy Fanatic ![]() | Re: Blu Ray Or HDDVD lolol welllllllllllll bluray has won. its been announced that HDDVDs are getting scrapped.it has become the new betamax, this time sony prevails with bluray. turns out the deciding factor were consoles since they were 90% of sales of both types. xbox hav announced that out of 18million xbox sales, only 4% of the users bought HDDVD players compared to sony's sales of 10million ps3 sales and 100% having bluray capabilities. on a seperate note it seems that through a 1 year release gap sony have caught up with xbox in terms of sales.this boosts the Blurays sellability. so stock up on blurays and sell ur HDDVDs as fast as u can ![]() EDIT: didnt realise people have stolen my thunder and already commented....
