with that 60 dollars you have just saved, you could buy a new game for the ps3, and play it online FOREVER!!!!!!!! and not spend a dollar more on membership.

hell, gta4 on the 360 will run ya 100+dollars in your first year alone, plus an extra 60 per year for xbl... how much for it on the ps3? $67.25 CDN. and it will never cost you more..

XBL + gta4 for 3 years: $280 - $300+
PSN + gta4 for 3 years: $67.25

in the long run: XBL x 3 + gta4<PSN x 3 + gta4

10:40am, just, right away... Who the **** is going to play ANY console game for 3 years...? In anycase, in my position I'd pay $240 USD for 3 years (+3 free months) and Limited Edition GTA4.

I like XBL over PSN.

I have better service on XBL than PSN. And I tried using 1 at a time and both at once. Both wired.


In their core they're basically the same, it's just SCEA's budget is limited since they don't charge for service.

And seriously, if anyone really cares about 50-60 bucks a year is either a teenager or someone who's a ****in' imbecile. Compared to how much you would make in a year, this payment is almost laughable, let alone how much you'll make in your lifetime, of course depending on what your job or career is. And with my career, after college, I'm going to roll a cigar out of three $100 bills.

On that note, get a ****ing job and stop asking mommy for money.

look at san andreas.. it's been almost 4 years now since it has came out.. it's been even longer for vice city.. and i know alot of people who still play both.. it isn't likely that rockstar will release another gta in the next 3 years after april 29th, so they are going to be playing gta4 for that period of time. i can almost guarantee, if you are a GTA fan, you're still playin San Andreas today. but that wasn't the point of my post, my point was that in the long run, it's better to have ps3. but if you are looking for a 1 year play and than pawning off the game, 360 is yer best bet..

You little ungrateful ****. How dare you call me a ****ing fanboy. I chose to stay with the console that I had a better experience with. Which was the Xbox 360. I also, obviously have a PSP which I play every day.

The people you know who play both, are they imaginary? Are they retarded? Are they poor? Do they play it, but for 15 minutes? Because there's plenty better games to play than Vice City and San Andreas now, especially since they're both last generation games, as Mr. Wolf said, "Move out of the sticks fellas." After GTA4's release, there will be plenty good games to play in 3 years.

I am a GTA fan but I'm not playing San Andreas, I'm playing LCS and VCS on my PSP. And more importantly, I'm not a GTA fanboy.

More over, 3 years isn't a long run, and still, 240 dollars in three years? That's just laughable, that's ****ing nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony would start charging because they're not gonna have any ****ing servers or any service for any game older than a few months. And they still can't get the PS3 right. If someone, for example, wants a low space PS3, but wants backwards compatibility, and wireless? They are shit out of luck, and it's not upgradeable. Any version of X360 is upgradeable, and that's not the point, I'm getting off topic.

And watch your words, it's better to have a PS3 in the long run? No, not at ****ing all, it's better to have any current gen console (except the wii). Playing singleplayer doesn't require XBL, so XBL isn't necessary at all, and besides, the majority of the game will most likely be played offline.

And even if someone doesn't pay for XBL, GTA4 will just be a better San Andreas, which by your rational, people would still play 4 years after release regardless.

And why do you have to have a 360 to play GTA4 for 1 year and pawn it off? You can play GTA4 on PS3 and pawn it off next month, it doesn't ****ing matter.

You have awful logic and I don't ****ing see why you have to argue about 5 dollars a month and resort to calling others with proper analysis and logistics a fanboy just for having a different console and a different version of the same game than you do... im not a fanboy either. i just strongly believe ps3 is the cheaper console in the long run.

360 is cheaper($349.99 here), and has some kickass games like halo3, and if i had the money, i'd buy it right now, and pay the $5 a month.

But in my view ps3 is worth the $567.88 pricetag and has most of the 360 titles on it..
