The "Christmas" issue

for the past 2000 years, we have been celebrating the birth of the christian lord and saviour. and roughly 18 years ago (maybe more), the beginning of christian deculturisation had begun. Immigrant peoples (mostly middle easterners) had found it unjust to call christmas because they dont believe in christ. Thus "Happy Holidays" was created. so now everywhere you go, every Christmas, erm sorry "Holiday special" you see is lacking the word "Christmas"

I Dont get what their problem is... They chose to live here, but yet they are going to hctib about something as small as the name of OUR holiday.. i say if they dont like it, they can go back to their countries of wartorn poverty and fear.(not racist or anything, just intolerant of people whom we grant citizenship to to save their life, and they nit pick @ every little thing, also this is not directed 2 all mid easterners) You dont see us going to, lets say afghanistan, and saying "you know, i dont believe in allah or anything... so i dont accept the name rammadan, lets change it to Holidays =D. You Know what would happen? your brains that thought up that sentence would be splattered all over achmed's lap. so maybe its just because they can get away with it here, but this is changing our culture... look 100-200 years from now (providing we dont go nuclear by then) will our religious culture be the asme as it has been for over 1200 years?

To tell you the truth its not Middle Easterns complaining, its pretty much atheists and Jews, and yes, some Middle East. But you cant just start saying:"OH! PEOPLE WANNA BAN THE WORD CHRISTMAN?! AND HOLIDAY?! MUST BE THOSE DARN MIDDLE EASTERNS!"

I hope the news didnt tell you that "Middle Easterns" was the cause of all of this...

Maybe its time for america to wake up and stop listening to the news...because to me it seems like they gotta blame the "Middle Easterns" for everything.


Or instead of telling all these lovely people here about MIDDLE EASTERNS, you can start some kind of petition to help stop this Christmas issue...

Same thing in the UK.
And yes, the news did tell me that it was mainly ummm, Eastern countries lol.

We're not allowed a cross on our hot cross buns (a school in England had to remove the cross on it) because it's an Easter thing and symbolises Jesus on the Cross. I have no idea if hot cross buns are sold elsewhere, so I'm explaining lol

And Happy Holidays is the political correct version of saying Merry Xmas, because, we don't want to offend anyone.............

I'm not religious, but, it certainly does piss me off that it has to be happy holidays in case we offend someone.

Even a while ago, The Sun (a UK paper), had something in about our troops in Afghanistan (or where ever ) and a page/poster, saying bring our troops back. And was England orientated. Proud of England type thing.
The woman's neighbour (who was Indian), was offended by it, not being English and all and wanted it taking down. Which of course caused it to be in The Sun.
Which is a tabloid paper though so

Even tho i am an atheists i call it Christmas and hit people who call it Xmas even tho i don't really believe in a god or anything i do still think of it as Jesuses birthday because Jesus was a cool guy and is not afraid of anything.

I know its bad to say "hate", but I hate people who complain about those races/religions who think "Christmas" should be taken out. All I have to say to them is, **** YOU. I love Christmas sooo much, but it saddens me how those inconsiderate bastards dare to change the name to happy holidays and whatnot.

ok get this i am atheist but i love Christmas and never want it to go away! i dont think that Christmas has to be about the religious crap it its about bringing people together its about family and caring for your fellow man. and the presents are nice too!

so do i belive i should be able to say "merry christmas" hell yeah i do let everyone bitch at me i belive what i chose to and christmas is just what we have always called it. and christmass trees should be everywhere in december because they just liven the place up a little bit (and they have that fresh pine smell usualy)
