I consider myself to be agnostic. Therefore I am not able to either prove or disprove the existance of either heaven or hell (let alone god(s)). I will not tell someone who believes in heaven or hell that they are wrong. The only thing I am able to do is remain a skeptic as neither have been either proven or disproven.

With that stated, I have very strong doubts about both for the simple fact that I have seen no proof of their existance.

afterlife is a whole different story to heaven and hell, i guess depending on what religion u follow there are a few that believe that you will be granted an afterlife or reincarnation when ur good in the previous life. For me I believe there is such thing as a heaven and hell, but it probably isnt as extreme as what people make it out to be. Heaven and hell are mainly an existence to how we should live our lifes today, because there is hell people obey the laws and do not commit crime, because there is a heaven people act better as a human being and treat others with dignity and respect.....so......no matter what if u do believe or do not if u do not commit any crime or treat others correctly then there's nothing to fear

I believe there is one. If there wasn't, there wouldnt be anything to look foward to would there be? Better feel safe than sorry.

LoL and become a part of the earth that was randomly created right? LOL man I love what people think up sometimes. I believe in a heaven and hell, i also believe people that suffer in this life feel a bit of that hell, and it lessens the load of their sins. In other words ANY pain you feel in this life is in reality taking away from the sins that you have committed in the past. If you are making yourself feel that pain, then that is a sin, so don't consider that if you believe in what i said. That is what most muslims believe as far as that goes.

Yes for me the concept balances out the injustice, why do my thoughts and self feel numb to my body, my body is a machine which submits to my will, my body will rot my self (soul?) and the actions it has performed will live on and be judged.

Atheism disgusts me especially this NEW atheism that wishes to proselytise believers the humanists (an ironic name) "want a better world" and think the world will be better off without religion

so 163milion lives have been wasted as result of the action of atheists, and they have the nerve to assert religion is the root of evil? they have probably killed more people in the past century then religious people in the crusades and jihads in the the last 1000 years.

Their belief in moral relativism has probably lead to this as well as the fact that they do not believe in God and therefore not hell, I hope they rot in hell and hope God (the sky-fairy they ridicule) really does fulfil their desire and destroy them completely.

I have always found it odd that they (the atheists) who love to champion themselves as defenders of the scientific method which requires "reason" see no reason or purpose in our or the universe or what was before it.
