| GamingCrazy Semi-Addict ![]() | How do you think the 2008 US elections will go? Let's do a step by step speculation as to how this is all going to go down. Here's what I'm drawing part of my vision from: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 1. A sudden terrorist attack, probably either at the end of this year or right before the republican nomination is announced, is launched on American soil. 2. Rudy Guiliani, chilbeater/dragqueen/failure of a human supreme, will give a speech where "september 11th" is mentioned at least 40 times per minute, and though somehow messing up his part and being responsible for 90% of firefighter deaths like he was on 9/11, the media will form a hugbox around him and we'll be sucked into a period of patriotic drama that not even the biggest of tampons could stop. 3. The republicans nominate Rudy Guiliani in a landslide vote 4. Although nobody votes for him in the race, Guiliani somehow wins the electoral college's favour, no matter how many people in the college actually approved of him. 5. We wake up on the morning after the announcement that he has won to turn on the TV in horror as the statue of liberty hangs from the Empire State Building, pinned to her chest a note that reads "aww hell no you didn't *fingersnap*" 6. Iran is invaded within the month of his empowerment, and soon posters of a cross dressing Guiliani are put up in every school, on every wall, and everywhere that Minitru determines fit. The caption reads in a beautiful font, "Big Brother is Watching You". Here is my photoshop rendition of what it will look like: ![]() 7. Anyone who still believes in the myths of democracy and freedom [see: Crimethink] will be sent to room 101. How do I warrant my prediction? I. Guiliani, although hated by all, is the overall neo-con pick for president. This is evident by his one opponent, Ron Paul, being denied access to the upcoming December 4th debate. If Paul was out, he would be the only one left with any chance to get the nomination II. Nobody, and I mean nobody, will vote for the democrat nominee, since Florida 2001/2004 is evidence that democrat votes don't matter. [20,000+ popular votes from Black and Democratic candidates were "lost" conveniently in the same state where Bush's brother is the governor who said "you will get a republican florida". III. Bawwwhawww call the waambulance, 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11. Vote for Guiliani 'cause he saved the world that day ![]() Anyways, that's just my forecast. What's yours?

To me, it seems sometimes the whole process is about a corporate/commercial image and a culture of out doing each other, rather than basing their election success on purely their politcal knowledge. America is typically a very commercial country is all im saying the biggest brand identities Coke, McDonalds etc....it stands to reason that the politcal candidates should want to advertise themselves in much the same way.... Purely a personal observation not intended to cause offence, so dont get arsy! |
