Re: Poverty charities, Are they needed??

I agree with you Dave..
Money maybe useless for them it's better to
give food
so we can give directly to them!

Re: Poverty charities, Are they needed??

It really depends on which charity you send money to, some Poverty Charities are not charities, in fact, they are schemes to steal your money. (Of course people know this). But, do address the issue, I don't think we need all these charities to address the SAME issue. Kind of a waste of time.

Those that call your house are also to be under suspect, even if they say they are from a "well known charitiy" they can just be lying to you.

Re: Poverty charities, Are they needed??

I don't believe all charities are scams just the major ones and the one's on TV I know many Charaties that truly help orphan's and unlike these big organizations that give like 5 -10 percent of the money you gave to the actual victims, the one's I'm working with give 90 or so.

If I didn't trust them I wouldn't bother donating. Some people will need help as no matter what they do they are either too poor, too weak, or lack the tech to do what they need to do.

Helping is a good thing even if you do get scammed every once in a while

Re: Poverty charities, Are they needed??

I agree with PSPcrazy, but see...when you get scammed, it makes you NOT want to give your money away in fear you'll get scammed again...
