what is it that determines true skill?

true skills are really, what you are born capable of doing. But still, that doesn't make you the best, for you still need to sharpen your senses in it. Survival, something that few people now an age can do in the forest, without supplies, is a true skills, that is, as I said before, decreasing as we really more and more on the "other guy" to do it, and soon to be, the 'robot" to do it. One skill, that I am jealous of, is music composition. I can't play any instrument what so ever.

I love building a computer or doing somthing on a computer and having the PC break to spend Hrs fixing it. . .it does not feel like you have done anything unless you spend Hr's shouting and trying to figger out how to fix somthing. . .

being able to doge bulets = skill.

when my computer got messed up, I kicked it. It worked better for like 15 min, then it went BOOM!

I usually never thought there was ever anything that made someone good at anything.

I believe that everyone is equal in their capacity to do things, but it's a matter of psychologically executing these things that makes them good at them.

For instance, I never ever thought I could accomplish anything at Karate (because I suck at fighting period). But determination changed that. And plus I feel I can control my body quite well, which helped it a long.

i agree. while your waving your arms around like a ****ing idiot -bang- your dead. 1000 years ago when it was actually effective, yeah, it was great. but guns and modern fighting techniques are far more superior if you ask me

Yeah, but you shoot someone with a gun, whether it be out of self defense or murder, they'll pretty much look at you the same. You become the criminal and the attacker becomes the victim.

pretty much, but that's if you kill them. If you shoot them in the leg to incapaciate them, they tend to look at that a little more open heartedly. But rarely does that happen
