The browser is 10 times better than the psp one. You can put a mem. stick in so you never get that not enough memory message. If I was you I'd get it.

Are you talking about the PSP Web browser? I think even this, won't make the DS compete against the PSP. The DS has surpassed the PSP twice. The PSP has some serious catching up right now..

does it support memory stick or SD? even if DS web browser will have a memory slot what good will it do when you cant play the media on the DS itself? unless it can which is great , but still PSP=functionallity/DS=gameplay and i think most ppl will agree wit that one.

Unfortunately most of the PSP's functionality sucks. The movie playback is crippled (because of low resolution/codec limits) as well as the web browser (with it's very limited memory), the music playback function also isn't very good, and the memory is very limited and costly to buy (and therefore further cripples movie/music playback because of the limited/expensive storage).

I do agree that DS is mostly for gameplay and that PSP is targeted to be multifunctional, but unfortunately the PSP fails being good at everything. At least there is homebrew to enhance the functionality that Sony didn't satisfactorily incorporate (such as the PMP movie playback program).

i think web browsers on consoles are pointless. whats wrong with a laptop or desktop

I'm more intrigued with the DS browser than with the psp. Hopefully the extra memory that comes with the opera browser will make it faster than the psp's slow browsing. text input should be much easier with the touch screen

and from my point of view, the psp is a jack of all trades but not excelling in any category whereas the ds is a game machine period. to this day, i have not beaten a single psp game and when i got my ds lite, i bought more games for that than for the psp (even tho i have 1.5 with a 2GB). my psp is just for movie viewing on road trips or killing time between classes

That sounds so cool i would love one for the ds. However wouldn't you have to buy something so that it can run it on the ds. and if the web browser did work do you think that they would allow it to run picto chat world wide
