| GamingCrazy Beginner ![]() | Re: flash carts?!?!?!?!? Flash carts are specially designed slot 1 or slot 2 cartridges that allow you to store and run DS code. For most Slot 1 devices, you're DS needs to be flashed to use them, although some newer ones (Like the Supercard DS, DS-X, and M3 DS) don't need them. If you're using a Slot 2 card, you need a NoPass or Flashed DS. Popular brands of flashcarts are Supercard, M3 (if you really want GBA support), and NeoFlash (stay away. Pure garbage). If you want to run pirated DS games, make sure whoever makes your card updates the firmware regularly, and releases a new patcher regularly. Running DS ROMs from Slot 2 means they have to be patched first (such as with the Supercard patcher, or the M3 patcher). Slot 1 cards support clean DS roms with no patching. Slot 1 cards, however, are generally more expensive, and have problems with clean roms at times. Wait a few months for slot 1 cards to get better. As far as DS homebrew goes, the Supercard is the best choice as the SC team released the FAT drivers for the Supercard line, so they're well supported. If you want to play GBA games, then the M3 is for you. However, the M3's normally cost nearly twice as much as the Supercard's. Neoflash is garbage, but it's expensive garbage, often times costing the same as the better supported M3 line. M3's homebrew support isn't the greatest as they often times don't release the FAT drivers for their cards, so Chism's fat lib doesn't support them. However, if you're buying a card just to play GBA and DS games, then it's a non-issue.

That site is good, or you can go to extremedeals.com and get this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] The only problem is this place takes a really, really, long time for shipping to arrive.
