| GamingCrazy Beginner ![]() | I hate Brain Age Everyone i spoke to about this game absolutely loves it. I started playing it today and i was really enjoying myself. Myself and my girlfriend played it for hours, but after a while i started to get frustrated with the constant input errors the DS has. For instance in the colors and words test where you must speak out the color you see, the DS only understand the word "Blue" about 40% of the time. We both speak American english with very little accent at all. The numbers only pissed me off a little bit in the math test as they only screwed up every 20 or so answers, that and it did not understand 7. I had to write my sevens with exagurated detail and take up the whole screen with it. I hit the last straw when i did the word memory test. I was given 30 words to remember and 3 minutes to type in as many as i could. It could not understand damn near every letter i etched in, no matter how much care i gave into its detail. And since there was no option to erase a single letter you had to retype a word many times just because it misunderstood one of the last letters of the word and could not be corrected. I think this has got to be one of the most frustrating games i have ever played in my life. A game that tests your intelligence by using a system that can not understand your input. So no matter how smart you are you cant actually input everything you know. Now you may not agree, but that really ****ing pisses me off. ![]() |

| Guest | Re: I hate Brain Age Yeah, sorry you're right, I don't agree. My hand writing is flippin crap, but, on the word memory game, it does understand what I'm writing ![]() The maths, n writing the letters. The only number I have a problem with is 4, it sometimes thinks its a 9, but thats the only issue I've had with it, I can now write the letter 4 how it wants it to be wrote, which isn't much different to how I do anyway, it's just doing it a different way. As for the color/words. It isn't always perfect, but if I'm in my room, and it's all quiet in the house, then, it catches more than 95% of what I say. If there's any background noise, or the battery is low, than, it isn't that affective, but yeah, peace and quiet, batteries fine, speak clearly, mines fine ![]() -With words n numbers, writing them in, have you tried calibrating your screen in the DS menu? |

| Guest | Re: I hate Brain Age Lol dont agree either. I've played BA and it was accurate enough, no problems at all for me. I was crap at it but that was me not the DS or the game .Game impressed me enough (technically) to make me want to buy a DS so yeh.....can't be all that bad . |

| GamingCrazy Addict ![]() | Re: I hate Brain Age The only thing I have problems with are my 8's. It always thinks them 6's for some reason. But since I write mine with a songle stroke instead of two circles, I just exaggerate the last sweep. And voice can be bad at times...but as long as it's quite I do fine. Though sometimes my mom walks in why I'm shouting random colors and it always throws me off...

| GamingCrazy Beginner ![]() | Re: I hate Brain Age wow sorry to hear your haveing so many problems with the game. I love this game. this and big brain academy were the major reasons behind my decision to get a ds. I have gotten problems with the speach recognition, especially when i say blue. I have the occasional problem with numbers but it seems to only happen when i get sloppy. |

| GamingCrazy Beginner ![]() | Re: I hate Brain Age nah this game was cool for about one week. then i noticed how repeditive the ds is. like the little asian guy who talks to you. "brr its really cold out. i could use some coco." i mean he said that every single time i turned the flippin game on. best thing about this game was prob the drawing pictures...and if you make one mistake or a slip of the pen erase the whole thing. so yea about 2 stars out of 5 for me...

| GamingCrazy Semi-Addict ![]() | Re: I hate Brain Age I initially had those problems but quickly got used to it. Played it for 4 months with my bro and mom keeping a competitive record. It gets boring if you overdo it, but its purpose is for 15 minutes a day; try playing it for an hour and of course youll get bored.

| GamingCrazy Newbie ![]() | Re: I hate Brain Age I too have had problems with Brain Age, when talking into the mic, however, I do mumble a lot, and so I'm not surprized that it doesn't always work. However my friend tried it, and spoke clearly, and had no problems at all with it. When playing this I can speak clearly, I just, have to remember to ![]() You should try talking more clearly when playing and it should be fine ![]() |
