Nintendo Power Reveals Sonic Chronicles, BioWare's Hedgehog RPG

The latest issue of Nintendo Power features a cover story and 7-page feature on BioWare's role playing game for the Nintendo DS that stars Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog. Titled Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, the portable RPG is said to be a stylus-controlled affair a la The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass by NeoGAF member giggas, who already has a copy of the mag and is responsible for the scan of the cover.

According to details from the newest issue of Nintendo Power, the game has a hand-drawn watercolor style. Each member in your party—which can total four of the eleven available characters—will have special abilities (we're betting the farm on Sonic being fast). Battles are turn-based and attacks are said to follow an Elite Beat Agents model.

NOOOOO, it they make another RPG like the one on the PS3/X360 I will seriously kill someone. Those rpg's are the most trashy ones yet, but since these guys have some experience I hope it turns out to be a much better experience.

hmmmm hey i didnt know the soniv game on ps3/360 was an rpg per say more an action/adventure game ... and dont forget this is being developed by a little studio called BIOWARE

It will definetley be better than the PS3 and Xbox one. first aof all those weren't really rpg's second, icould maybe scan it this weekend. But anywyas....

the enviroments in the game are all compltely hand dran on paper and then imported so they look great, the battle system will really try to give you the feel of speed like a sonic game even though its a turn base fight, and it looks great visually overall with one of the deepest looking sonic storylines yet.

I remember reading that issue @ the store. Im really curious to see how that game will do. I mean sonic in a RPG?! Lets hope they do not mess this one up!
