New Super Mario Bros

Mario is back in his 2-D platforming Style in "New Super Mario Bros". You could call this a remake of the nes version but there are loads of new levels and powerups that are sure to keep you hooked like the original



Storyline:
Like Everyother mario platforming game, princess peach has yet again been kidnapped, but this time by baby bowser. Mario is out for a walk with peach when they hear comotion from the castle, mario goes to investage when baby bowser pounces, mario sees and is there in hot pursuit.



Graphics
My Opinion..there lovely, nintendo hame done there homework in this department, the scenery is very bright and colourfull as always and the character sprites are also nicely drawn. Nothing to complain about here



Sound:
This will come as no surprise but they have remixed the original tunes and added them and i have to say that they are catchy. also they have all the original jumping noises, coin collecting noises and the famous 6 chime 1up noises, somthing different and it works well



Gameplay:
Just like any mario side scrawler, this game is addictive and now with the new layout, you can retrace your steos. also a new addition to the game, is 3 star coins in each level, to fully complete the game, you have to search out all 3 coins in every level and then spend em to get to all the other roads to new levels and powerup houses, and to make life even harder, there are also secret exits to find too, more then enough to keep you hooked



Multiplayer:
For the multiplayer side of things, if you have a mate without a copy of the game, you have to race them to get more stars then you around 5 stages where you can obtain powerups to kill your opponent to get their stars, but if your mate has a copy then you gat more stages to play with, not much but its a laugh none the less



Touch Screen Use:
There isnt much use for the touch screen in this game, all i see that it is used for is the few minigames that are included but most of them are from super mario 64 ds, there are only 3 new ones and to select a mushroom or fire flower that you have spare, that appears on the bottom screen as your ingame



Overall:
This game is without a doubt one, of the best games out for the ds at the moment, the game may be simple to complete but the coins and exits will make you come back for more, multiplayer will keep you and your mate happy but may get repetative quickly, but its the main game that will keep you enterianed most, if you like platformers..try this!

i have the game and getting to the end is very hard but is still a very good game

hard...are you kidding...i fully finished the game in 4 days...but that was almost non-stop playing though

this game is super fun man! the one player part of it is really fun and quite long too.. but the multiplayer is SUPER fun!!! i play with my sister... both the mario vs luigi... and the minigames all the time!

yeah my brother has that game on his DS its pretty fun but then again what mario games isnt?
