Homebrew with DS Lite...

I just bought a DS Lite this Saturday. I'm looking to enable it for Homebrew play. I've read a bit and seen that the M3 DS Simply chip is the best, am I correct?

If so, where can I find the cheapest M3 chip?

PS: I live in the UK.

the m3 simply is easy, you only need that and the memory card (micro sd). I boought one from model-gadget.com and it cost me £30 for the m3 simply ds and a 1gb micro sd card, thats including 1-2 day first class post to mainland uk.

If you can, try picking up an R4. I got one here plus a 1GB micro SD for $320 HKD ($40 USD). It's very simple to use and I'd recommend it over the m3 as would many others on the forum.

Re: Homebrew with DS Lite...

Thank you for the advice but now I'm slightly confused...

Which one should I get? M3 or the R4, can someone show me some links where I can compare the two?

Also, where does the memory card go in the DS? - I've had a look but can't seem to find the slot...

I've just read that the M3 comes with a card reader, now will I have to carry that card reader with my DS as I'm playing the back-up games? - Won't that be inconvenient?

Re: Homebrew with DS Lite...

You can go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] . I don't know the m3 site but it's made by the R4 team. Anyway, the micro SD goes in the card itself (on the R4 site you will see a picture of the card, the indent is where it goes). I recommend the R4 because it's easy to use and reliable- It comes with a Micro SD-USB card reader, you connect the Micro SD to your computer and drag and drop .nds files. You can also put on .txt files to use as e-books which you can read with Moonshell, which also supports photos music and video. Anyway, if you need anything else, just ask.

peace

P.S.
Also supports soft resetting ingame, pressing LRABXY ingame to return to the game menu (It can be deactivated), custom themes, cheats, etc.
