Best Game Character Mascot that Never Made it Big?

There are many games characters out that appeared in games, that never saw the light of day again, and i was wondering what were your favorites?

i want no mario and sonic or cloud etc, as they were popular and still are to this day, i want characters that once lived and just, fell to pieces

Here are a few examples

Bubsy: Appeared in only 3 games, the first 2 were great, but really frustrating due to bubsy being killed so easily and really awkward controls, and then the 3D ps1 version sealed his fate forever, the game was so bad, bubsy effectively died...



Gex: A gecko with some really bad one liners that had 2 really good games, "Gex: Enter the Gecko" and "Gex: Deep Cover Gecko" that came out on both the PS1 and N64, and voiced by "The Cat" in Red Dwarf, Danny John Joules in the second game to boost ratings effectivly fell about, and he hasnt been seen since....shame..



Earthworm Jim: This guy was well known in the 32bit era on the snes and genesis for the awesome gameplay in the games and funny actions that jim was always doing, he got 3 games that were very popular at the time, and even his own tv show that was, unfortunatly a failure due to poor story and animation.Things got worse when 3D games started to appear in the PS1 and N64 and this eventually stopped him, due to poor reviews. A game was being recently developed for the psp, but was put on hold in 2006, and hasnt been mentioned since, i hope that the game will eventually come to, but only time will tell, Lets hope jim makes a comeback soon



i would love to see earthworm jim again, so he gets my vote

I would have to say...umm...Little Mac from Mike Tyson's Punch Out for the NES. the little guy fighting all the big guys...man I still play that game on my psp, its so sick

yea, i agree, but i hope for the love of god, there is never a 3D double dragon, it would destroy the series

Even tho there not that big there still big all the guys on this list. . . one guy you should off added was ristar the epic game of games.

Robbit-Jumping flash 1+2 (One of my favorite games. The other 2 sequels werent released in US)
Goemon-Mystical ninja series (half of the games didnt come out in the US)
Mike-Startropics
Sparkster-Rocket knight 1+2
Marina-Mischeif Makers

I couldn't agree more! I just have a feeling that if they were to do another game they would F it up.

Nice list . I'd go with Gex though, he's a cute guy that could've been as big as Spyro if he just had wings. I never really 'got' Earthworm Jim though .

He shouldve been a character in Brawl instead of an assist trophy. I hate those assist trophies since they just make me wish that the character was actually playable!
