think back to the ONE game that turned you into a gamer....i played games on nes and snes a LOT...but i dont think i became a hardcore gamer until i picked up metal gear on ps1...best game ever as far as im concerned....and now not a day goes by without me getting some gaming in....where did it all start for you?

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons for the GameBoy Color. Definately the first game that got me hooked.

dude I was gonna say the exact same thing!! I played games alot but it was all fun. play mario, beat it, takes like less than an hour to get boring and not to much too it. snes and same thing happens. ps1 and same thing happened for a while, but mgs' gameplay and storyline really made me play hardcore. beat it 15 times (first 3 to unlock bandana, stealth camo, then suit, rest just for fun) and loved it. thats when storylines for games really became important for me, and AI. I started focusing on realism in games, though it wasnt as big as it is now, back then I just stopped playing stuff like crash bandicoot and the like after mgs.

though now I play ratchet and clank, I still look for realism, good ai, good story, good characters, etc. I find I have high standards actually...

I think that the first game that REALLY made me a gamer was Starcraft...I was like...12? and I played B.Net all day and night, I was on it all of the time

Super Mario 64/Pokemon blue, i cant remeber which 1 i got first, but it was probobly Mario. then my first serious game i got into was probobly fifa 2002

man...my game would be secret of mana for snes. i would play that thing back in elementary and play before and after school started. i still play on emulators on psp over and over. love that game.

final fantasy 7 and tomb raider: both classics, yeh i kinda used to play javascript inernet games b4 they sucky

playstation 2 demos...

nah really, my bro used to own a ps2(which i now own) he bought a lot of demos and i just played on saturdays...and got into playing REAL games...lol
