How could i fix it if its a PSP hardware problem?

Besides its a couple years old so its probaby wearing down.
Then it's either a bad plug on the PSP or motherboard problems. It should not shut down randomly when it's on the power cord.

I think after i buy the new battery and turn the old one into a pandoras, if it still has a probem charging ill buy a bricked PSP off ebay and use the pandoras battery to unbrick it and flash custom firmware.

Most likely it's a loose solder joint on the power plug or the power plug need replacing. You can buy the plug online, disassemble the PSP and replace it. There are plenty of guides with picture to help in the disassembly and location of the plug. The only thing you would need to do would be to unsolder and solder the part back into place. If you or someone you know doesn't feel comfortable with that then don't attempt it, try to find a place that will do it for you.

To make sure that that is the problem, check to see if the power goes on & off when you wiggle the power cord in the jack.
