Hi all, i'm fairly new to this PSP business although i currently have a DS with 8gb card in and hundreds of games, and would also seek some knowledge on how to do this to my [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] that i purchased off ebay, (i hope i haven't been ripped off)

i wrote a long reply and i submitted and was signed out and did not get posted! Neat deal, read tuts for CFW short reply as be bothered rewrite again....

hi and welcome to the site.

to play games form your mem card, you will need to install a custom firmware onto your psp (if it's not already go it installed). it's not as easy as the ds and the process can be a bit difficult at first. but have a look in the tutorial section for some guides on how to install a custom firmware. by the way, what firmware is your psp on and what type of psp is it (fat or slim)?

if you have any questions, have a look in the "PSP Help" sections to see if someone has already asked your question. if nobody has, then post it and im sure someone will respond to it.

yeah, oldgit and gandalf are very helpful, if you check the tutorials, that should help but dont be hesitant to ask for help. as for games for it, dont ask for games in the forum, but if you need advice, send me a pm and we can talk. and about ebay, well, generally I find that Im never ripped off, but dont worry if you are; there's tons of security and admins and rules so that if you are ripped off, you actually arent, and theyre gonna take a big loss.

Turns out i have PSP software version 2.82 anyone point me in the right direction please? thanks

have a look at this tutorial "[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]". then scroll down to your firmware and follow the instructions. in your case, you will need to have an umd of GTA:LCS to be able to downgrade to v1.50 in order to install a custom firmware.

yes it can. for the v3.50 downgrader. thanks for the reminder

no problem, I used a panda-bat but my other friends road tripped to another city to get a used copy of lumines XD (they also shopped a bit)
