now because i started using iso's lately my bro has been wanting to play them but he gets kinda pissed when there are no videos, music. sfx. etc and starts believing that iso's are half of he game. he tells me this and im like WTF are you talking about, it is just data from the UMD put on the memory card so you can play it htere but some people take out videos and such to make it take up less space and he does not believe me. plz back up my answer or correct anything so i can prove him wrong

you are correct...they are able to remove videos, music or other stuff to shrink the size of iso so that people that have small memory sticks can use the iso's. Not everyone has a 2gb stick to load all the iso at full size.

for big games the movies will sometimes be taken out or the infrastructure mode or other extraneous things

i think he wants someone to post an full iso of a game...even if some of us cant cram that thing into our cards....

yes, isos are basically the discs only not on disc. most of the time there is "dummy data" or update files that are not at all needed and will be taken out. thats why some people can find marvel nemesis for around 100-130 mb and then somone posts everything and that rounds out to 800 mb.

People will take out certain things like commentary on sports games or the music or practice in ssx on tour's case.

just remember the bigger it is the more complete it is.
