Error while copying game to PSP...

Hi, all. I haven't had my PSP for very long, so forgive me for being ignorant, but I'm stuck. I recently downloaded a game (HSG: Open Tee) onto my PS3 for my PSP. When I attempt to copy it from the PS3 to the PSP, it hangs up (usually around 3 or 4%, have gotten as high as 50%) and displays this message: "An error occured during the copy operation. (8001002B)" The first couple of times, the game actually showed up on my memory stick, but, naturally, wouldn't launch. Now, it shows up as "corrupted data". I also tried connecting my PSP to my laptop and downloading the game but I get similar results, so I assume the problem is with the PSP and not the PS3. Any ideas?

try copying the game to a external hard drive and then using your pc/laptop, installing it on to your psp.

what firmware is your psp's on?
what folder are you trying to install it in to?
have you got enough space on your mem card?

Thanks for the assistance. Unfortunately, I don't have an external hard drive...

It has firmware 4.00.

Honestly, I dunno. Whether using the laptop or the PS3, it doesn't give an opportunity to choose any specific folder. Perhaps I'm missing something there?

Yup, 2 gigs with barely anything on it.

which ps3 do you have? does your have the built in card reader (60gb+ ps3's). if it does, then you could put your mem card into the ps3 and copy the files over that way. the game file should live in the "GAME" folder that lives in the "PSP" folder.

I have an 80 gig model, so that may work. After I put the memory stick in the PS3, where do I find the game to transfer it over? When I go the the game on my XMB on the PS3, in only wants to transfer it via the USB connection.

try and find the file on the ps3's hdd and press triangle and select copy. then paste it on to your mem card. i've not done this personally, but a friend of mine done it that way once.

either fimware shouldnt fail maybe problems with memory stick, try using ms in the ms slot xept from usb cable (or other way round)
