Icon5 Homebrew Enabling A Slim for the First Time

So a friend of mine's little brother wanted a PSP, but I told his parents that the only way to make it cost efficient was to homebrew enable it.
Thus today I got handed a blue Madden Slim to homebrew. I am slightly jealous cause I only have a slim.

I whipped out my old Magic Memory Stick, and since my hard modded Pandora's battery doesn't seem to work anymore (Got any hints on that?) I used Pandora Deluxe, with the DDCv7 and turned my phat battery into a pandora.
Popped the pandora into the Slim, the light came on, but when I put the MMS in, it turns off...what's the deal with that?!

Now I wait for Gandalf to help me in his infinite wisdom before I break this kid's new psp before he knows he even has one.

You have to have the memory stick in first and whatever button that you need to have pressed BEFORE you put the battery in.

Hardmodded battery possibly in need of a charge??
