Icon9 PSP doesn't work - Pandora doesn't help

As the title says, my PSP stopped working suddently while I was playing GTA: Vice City Stories (it just turned off, completely).

I imediatly turned it on, but I only got what I got until now:
I turn it on, the power light turns green but the screen doesn't turn on. After a second, the backlight turns on but nothing shows up and nothing works, and then it imediatly turns off.

I've reinstalled the CFW (5.00M33-4) several times and formatted the flash several times, but the result is the same.

My PSP is a Phat 1st generation.

Any advice?

Thanks.

Let me get this straight now, PSP don't work regularly but it will work loading up the custom firmware. I am assuming that you are using the DCv8 since you said that is what you have been installing. If that be the case when you start the pandora battery and magic memory stick up instead of doing install of the cfw try the test function and see if the PSP runs like that. If it does then there is a good chance that the NAND has went bad or has too many unreadable sectors because when running in the test mode it bypasses the NAND completely and runs the firmware off of the memory stick.

I've already tried the Test mode, it does the same thing.

I even created a new Idstorage, thinking that would be the problem but it wasn't.

BTW, my motherboard is an TA-81.

Any further suggestions?

Thank you.

EDIT: No, it does not boot the XMB. Nothing is shown on the screen.

It doesn't load the custom firmware, it loads the Pandora menu (if I press the Left Trigger while booting). I don't know if you were talking about this...

You've got a hardware failure, most likely the motherboard. This is not firmware related.

Re: PSP doesn't work - Pandora doesn't help

So, what should I do? Because my PSP is out of the warranty period...

Is there any way to fix it?

[EDIT]
Í just remembered now, but...
The PSP did work earlier, when I powered it on and remove the memory card at a certain time, I could see the "SCEE" logo when it boots up, but it turned off when it was loading.
I could only see about 1 second of the logo.

Nope... I guess I'm screwed and will eventually have to land on the Sony repair service...

Re: PSP doesn't work - Pandora doesn't help

I'm really thinking that the NAND went down while you were playing. It will get bad blocks in it just as a hard drive will loose sectors over time. Usually on a hard drive a bad sector is marked as bad and nothing is wrote to it but the NAND is slightly different and will try to write to bad blocks anyways which results in a brick. It could be that the blocks that contain the ID Storage went bad thus loosing your ID Storage and when you go to try to recreate it it writes back to those bad blocks.

I don't have my PSP with me at the moment but on that magic memory stick when you run it, it has a section that I think says NAND Tools. I can't remember but it may have a tool that checks for bad blocks, if it does run that and see what the results are. It is possible that it could mark them as bad and you might be able to reinstall the cfw then.

Re: PSP doesn't work - Pandora doesn't help

Sorry, but there is no option to check for bad blocks.
The only options related to NAND are "Backup NAND" and "Restore NAND".

I'll try to see if I can find a program that can be mixed with Pandora to make that.

[EDIT]
I found it inside DC3/4. It's called nandTool.
Doing a bad block check, it found 0 bad blocks.

What does this mean? Is it really hardware failure?

Thanks.

I'll upload a flash dump if I can. (link below)

BTW, the flash2 and flash3 are empty.
