what do you really think of prototype?

exactly. and that might be the way with prototype. what if everyone is obsessing over it and its a total flop? I have my hopes up for it, but Im not gonna defend it to death if it sucks. if it sucks it sucks. the game looks good but haze looked good and its gotta play good, have depth, replay value, and quality. haze was glitchy, predictable, stereotypical, and had no lasting value.

haze sucked, and I wanted it to be good. I preordered it...and was disappointed. I didnt defend it to death though, I sold it and bought something else

dude i did the same thing with my copy. the main thing i liked was that on the last lvl if u stabbed the dead mantel soldiers with a nectar knife they got back up and just stood there like idiots that don't die. all i know is that when i get my copy of prototype i'll be ready if it really is all hype. also u should be a game critic u would be really good at it.

places gave it semi decent reviews. ign was a 7.5

whether you pick it up or not, i'd probably still recommend infamous over prototype.

ahaha, yeah, I loved doing that too! the controls were solid, but dialogue sucked, online was broken, graphics werent anything to write home about. some fun things to do in it but I was really expecting a lot more D: Ive always considered writing reviews...or video reviews or something, but I guess Im just too lazy, maybe this summer Ill try and do some reviews with a friend of mine ^^

@ dark: well, I bet anyone with a 360 and no ps3 will recommend prototype, just because they cant play infamous. anyone with both, im not sure, but Im gonna have to say infamous. ive seen higher reviews for it than prototype, but I havent had a chance to pick it up yet (it was sold out)

don't do it... ign bashed it for horrific graphics. in fact, most of their subcategories were in the 5's and 6's.

and besides, you can't even straight up play it on the ps3 right now without a workaround... they have yet to patch it.

damn..maybe Ill rent it. or borrow it from my friend. he has been playing it non stop but I guess its not worth a buy. i did however get red faction guerrilla (when I couldnt find prototype) and Im glad I bought it, its a change from the first two but really good

maybe you could consider taking back what i said? gamespot surprisingly just gave it a 8.5, making no big deal about graphics like ign did. weird, since ign is usually more agreeable scorewise than the other big reviewers.

I usually trust gamespot more than ign. and whats that site, metacritic? I havent been there forever, but I used to use them because they gave it a meta score which I always found most fair. but I do like pretty graphics, so...if it aint good to look at, that is fairly important to me

i dont care for metacritic. i don't want the no-name sites to figure into the scoring process. if i want any influence from a reviewer's score, i check ign, gamespot, and gametrailers.

GT hasnt reviewed it yet though.

ok guys mind if i send my opinion about prototype real quick. because my brother bought it as a really late B-Day gift and i must say that the fighting is quite good, true there is a hell of a lot of blood and gore but thats fine with me. the gameplay it's self is fun but dose get a little dull if u don't get some new powers but all in all the game is fun and i hope they make some DLC for it soon.

also Dark is infamous for just the PS3 or is it for the PC as well i forgot, because it dose look good i just keep forgetting to play the demo.
