| Question about the PS3... This is specifically for the blu-ray function on the ps3. I'm sort of thinking about getting Cloud version PS3 (from Play Asia), and was wondering, if I bought that, could I play American region blu-ray DVD's? I have the Advent Children: Complete from Japan, so I'm worried that if I get the PS3 from a store in the states, it wouldn't play it, and that would devastate me. |

| Re: Question about the PS3... Yes you can. I have the JPN ceramic white PS3--I bought a couple Xmas ago from Play-asia--and it all good when it comes to blu-rays as Japan, America (North), and Hong Kong are all on the same blu-ray region A. So vice versa, if you got a PS3 from the States, then it would play Japanese blu-rays. However, be aware!! The strict DVD region-coding is still in effect on all PS3s and their respective regions; so if you get PS3 from a region other than the one you live in and still own/buy DVDs that are from where you live it WILL BE INCOMPATIBLE--unless the discs are region All/'0' (which will work fine on any PS3 just as they do with DVD players). So unless you already got a region-free DVD (I had one before I got my PS3 anyway for all the Japanese/Asian films and anime that I watch so the choice was no big deal for me), or be prepared to buy one b/c at the time there is no crack/hack/mod that break the PS3 region-free (like you can do with most DVD players via a remote hack). Check [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to get an idea of the regions that country belongs to. Hope that helps ya! ![]() |

| Re: Question about the PS3... No prob, fast--glad to share my knowledge, lol ...btw, hey blckprljin which version of AC Complete did you get? Did you get the one w/ the PS3 FF demo or just the regular blu-ray? I've been debating which one I'm gonna get, I'm kinda curious about the demo (included) version but my Japanese ain't NOWHERE near great, or even par, to playing it in Japanese, lol. Well, I do play Ryu ga Gotoku series (known as Yakuza in the West), but that with a great bit of help from a guide that one of my gaming homie writes for them (damn, I wanna my Japanese to that level!!)....matter of I might too busy playing Ryu ga Gotoku 3 (Yakuza 3) when that finally comes to even be thinking about the FF demo! Nevermind, I may just get the regular blu-ray of it... ![]() |

well, the one with FF13 was mad expensive at the time I ordered it, so I just got a normal one... I coul play Dissidia without worrying about the japanese, but I didn't think I could actually play FF13 because my Japanese is still very limited. | |

| Re: Question about the PS3... No prob, blckprljin....however, me thinks you're on your own as far as the $600 cloud version (it's cool lookin' though) goes, don't think I can help you much there, LOL. Yeah, I think I'm leaning more toward the regular version, as well. That and the fact that I've never had the greatest of patience playing FF--my day and uncle actually get down with more than I do--so if i had got it I would have proably made my dad play it w/ me or something...and seeing as though my Japanese is work in progress and has NO KNOWLEDGE in it...I envision fun-headache city. ![]() ...uh yeah, so I think I better pass on that for now, LOL. |

| Re: Question about the PS3... ...well, it's the limited edition PS3 version released for the Japan market celebrating the blu-ray re-release of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete. But also, Square Enix is releasing a version on blu-ray that includes trial/demo version FF13 for the PS3. For Japan, they have the privilege of it remaining a Sony-exclusive (no 360 version will be released there....since not one's gonna buy it there anyway, lol)--therefore they will also be getting this: ![]() which is 160gb HDD Cloud (it's a emblem that he wears I think) version, plus the FFVII Advent Children Complete blu-ray and the demo. @ blckprljin, Hey matter of fact, you might want to think about returning or--if you can't return it--selling a copy of FFVII ACC because if you do get the Cloud version PS3 it already comes with the movie and demo....so really if said you already got it, then you gonna end up w/ two copies of the movies. | Re: Question about the PS3... @ ganjaqueen: Yeah, I saw that! I wish I had known that they were going to include it in the PS3 pack so I didn't have to waste so much money getting it shipped to the states with extra shipping! Oh well... I reckon I could just sell it or something... ^^;;; |
