Graphics: 8.7
The Graphics in Resistance are far from beautiful, but that are more than the PS2's graphics only polished and refined. Resistance's graphics are good but not as good as what they should be. Since this is a release title I think Insomniac did a wonderful job. The textures are very bland, and the lighting is off.

Gameplay: 9.0
The Gameplay of Resistance was very fun, online and off. The Single player is worth a few long hours of fun gameplay and the co-op may not seem as long but is easily said better than single player. Online play is chaotic, but interesting in its own right. 40 players on one server with minimal lag in my book that is quite an accomplishment.

Sounds: 8.2
The sounds in Resistance in many aspects are very original. Some can be somewhat anoying like the sounds made by rubbing up against the carts everywhere in the beginning of the game. But the sounds are very unique in their own right.

Game Intelligence: 7.6
The creatures in the game are after a while predictable. At first they are very intellegent, but its parameters are limited to select options rather than the ability of thought, via A.I.

Controller Setup: 9.5
The controller functions were relatively easy to learn and use.

Believability: 9.2
The game uses real reaction to everything that happens in the game. The game is believable and I think that is what makes a game worth playing. Glass broke when shot as it would in reality, billyards rolled realistically, bull-holes stayed, and cars explode after a time of being shot at. So in this aspect, I think this sets this game apart from other FPSes.

Overall: 8.6
The game is very good overall. The graphics were nice, the sounds were good, and it was very believeable. These three things are what make a game good, with the adition of putting them all together in a smooth way in a great plot. Resistance had an amazing plot, as well as ending. Just the way to say, "We might make a sequal!" Do I look forward to a second game in the Resistance series, yes.

A reply in the form of a Review is hard to do but here is one i posted a while back

The Playstation 3 launch went off without a hitch on November, 17 2006. Gamers lined up and down street corners in order to snatch one of the prized few ps3's available at their local electronics stores. After the long wait the lucky few left home with a common game, resistance: fall of man.

At first when i ran across this game on my ps3, it felt just like any other FPS game. It felt like counter strike and killzone, yet something bothered me. Something about it was making it shine, and that is something you have to read on to discover. I called over some friends to come to my house and we started by playing co-op mode. It started off with a smooth cinematic introducing the main character and the background storyline of the game.

Basically Nathan hale is a U.S army ground solider and he is being deployed to great Britain in order to save the country from the current siege of creatures called chimerans. The controls were very easy to get used to, as you moved the main character with the left and right analog stick and you fired with the r1 button.

As we played the story line got more and more intriguing. It was definitely a a storyline that fit well with the game. After playing for around 11 hours straight we beat medium difficulty. The games graphics were very well done, the cinematics weren't very special but they were fulfilling, and the controls worked with with the new ps3 controller.

We beat the game, and felt we were lacking something, and then we saw multiplayer mode. Multiplayer mode apparently had two options: Offline and Online. Online being online gaming vs other people, and offline being multiplayer up to 4 people connected on the same console.

Since we had 4 guys we tried out offline mode first. We were happy to see that they had a lot of offline levels to choose from, some that were not even in the story mode. We could choose from a lot of multiplayer games types including capture the flag, team deathmatch, free for all, and meltdown. After around 20 minutes we had played two rounds, and we were having a ton of fun. We happened to keep going non-stop for the next...3 hours until we fell asleep from lack of sleep.

When we got up we decided to try out online mode since it seemed to be there sticking out like a sore thumb for us hardcore online gamers. We connected up our head sets, and started. Although we didn't find online co-op or two player online on one system vs others online, we did find a fulfilling online selection of games, that could be played as ranked or unranked. Ranked games were games that put us automatically with other people that match our rank, so basically we started out playing with noobs. some were awesome noobs, some sucked bad. Like offline mode we had a huge range of games to play online, not to mention we could create clans, buddy lists, and talk to people using any pc usb or bluetooth microphone. We played resistance online wit the deathmatch game, and used a system of switching to the next guy with every 4 kills, and it worked out perfectly. at the end we had a ton of fun, and unlike most multiplayer games we never got tired of it due to the varying amount of enemy skill challenging you to keep on the edge of your game.

After my friends left i spent many more hours online building up my rank from private noob to supreme commander. I was able to customize my character with various costumes including a skeleton head/body customization which was awesome to freak out opponents as they turned to see you right next to them.

I then replayed story mode, and to my surprise found out that it had new weapons for added reply value including the rapier, which was dual-handed pistols that kicked ass.

The gem that this game had was its multiplayer modes. With any party you can't go wrong with it. Although its nothing new, it's a great mode to experience.

Many people consider this game the killer app for the ps3, while in some cases i disagree with them, as i believe the ps3 has a lot more potential and the story line could be much better, the multiplayer mode cuts the cake and makes this one of the best games i have experienced in a while. It even beats mario kart, naruto, and possibly gears of war which i loved playing before i played this game.

Overall if you want an awesome game to satisfy your inner creature, then this is the one playstation 3 game you must get.

To me its about an 8.5 -9.1. It was a Good Game no doubt, but i found me enjoy playing call of duty 3 more. But hey its was insomniac first shooter.

well i don't know how to judge because if i see the game has good graphics i would buy it. but i have to see how other people rate the game, even then i would rent it.

Ressitance is great online. i amin a clan . the only thing that brings it down is that nobody goes on there headstet and chat.

story mode is great online is also good but i hate the fact that u cant use some of the guns u can offlineand u cant use vechicals online
