flOw Review - Crack Simulation?

After buying the game flOw a couple of weeks ago i was just simply amazed at how well this game was made to work with the PS3. The game has no real plot, no real value as far as action, but putting that all aside it's extremely soothing and a awesome game to own.

Graphics:
The graphics of the game are top-notch and very artistic. Everything in this game was made with quite a lot of imagination involved such as the organism types used and the colors used for the characters. The game has a very nice bright feeling to it, it feels like you are within the depths of the sea eating things, and just living out your life.

Audio: Without the audio this game would be just another fish game on the computer. The audio is what turns this game into such an soothing, and calming game. When you are moving through the ocean you move as slowly as you want, and when you see an enemy suddenly a sound telling you to eat. Overall the sound plays a major part in making this game as great as it is.

Gameplay: This game is controlled mostly by the sixaxis tilt sensor. If you want to move left you slightly tilt left, and if you want to move up you push forward. After the first level of the game you get so used to it, that it becomes an extension of your body. As you go through the game you eat other organism by simply moving over their blue orbs on the enemies body. As you eat other organism's your own body grows .. wings, a longer tail, and possibly more addon's depending on the type of fish you are.

There are 5 types of fish you can be, as you go through the levels you will be able to unlock the organism's from the main fish pool. The game also has a sort of multiplayer mode where there are 3 more people with you eating other organism's as well as trying to eat you while they are at it.

Overall the game was fun enough to keep me entertained for a week of nonstop addictive gameplay.
It is well worth over the $8 dollars they charge you to download the game. Go give it a try, and you just might feel like you are on crack (but without the negative affects ).

There is no real action in this game other then eating other organism's so for some of you who want action, action, and some more action, this game will just be something you can make fun of since all you do is float around eating things . This games objective is to put you into a sort of trance , and it does that quite well with its artistic graphical designs with its soothing surround sound.

Oh yea once you beat the game once you may never pick up the game It's replay value isn't that great. It's more of a one time thing to see, experience, and get over like... crack...

I used a credit card to buy it, and no i don;t think playstation sells those cards. What they do offer for parents is to purchase an certain amount of money for you to buy games later on. Of course i doubt your parents would input a credit card into their tv lol.

Re: flOw Review - Crack Simulation?

I didn't like this game much. It's kind of boring. When I finished the game, I stopped playing it right away. There isn't really much in this game. There isn't much of challenge, only the controls when you first try it. This game could've been much better.

I felt the same way. I kept playing and playing because I wanted to see what else there was, but once I beat it I never played again.

Re: flOw Review - Crack Simulation?

Its a real 'love it or loath it' game.
To call it a game at all is a misdemeanor - as there no real objectives!

I used to smoke too much weed, and so its inevitable that I'm totally captivated by it and drawn into the experience - so many nice colours and soothing sounds...

It is a good advertisment for the sensitivity and control of the 6 axis which feels very natural on this title - and few would argue thats it not good value for money - we currently get this title for just £3.49 in the UK - you can't even buy a couple of beers for that money...

i loved this game, is great since i cant sleep very well, no stress, nice sounds and its just relaxing.
havent tryed multiplay yet, that would give some replayablity... but wouldnt mind if they added some updates and new features ^^

Re: flOw Review - Crack Simulation?

We don't look at reviews because those are other people's opinons. If we listened to other people's opinons it would just dampen our fun if the game was something we specifically enjoyed.
