| V»Vanquisher™© ![]() | Devil May Cry 4 Devil May Cry 4 Surprisingly, Dante is no longer the main character, even though he's still a playable character by default, but the main guy here named Nero. Nero appearance pretty much resembles both Dante and Vergil, although personally I think he's not as baddass as those twin brothers. Nero's attire consists of blue jeans, a long blue coat, and a red vest with a hood. He wields a revolver named Blue Rose, which has a distinctive under-and-over double barrel, and a decorated single-edged sword called the Red Queen. Nero's right arm seems to resemble a demon's and glows supernaturally, and is the source of his "Devil Bringer" power. He apparently was not born with his arm in this state, and hears voices demanding "more power". Nero also has his own "Devil Trigger" transformation, which consists of a demonic spirit hovering above him. Dante, the lead character throughout the DMC Franchise, will be a playable character by default, not by unlockeable, as part of the storyline. At least he will play in 7 of 20 missions available. Dante will have updated versions of the core animations used in Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, as well as that game's four basic fighting styles of Trickster, Royal Guard, Gunslinger and Swordmaster, which can be switched at will. As pretty much almost the same formula as the previous DMC entries, a non stop hardcore figting action, with the ability to switch between several fighting style and combos both for Nero and Dante, you will find DMC 4 is trully enjoyable. Not as depressing as DMC3, at least for the first available couple difficulty level, which they have 6, yes, SIX level total for DMC4 that makes this game is challenging for all kind of gamer skills, from newcomers to superhumans. For PS3 versions, compare to Xbox360, an initial installation to HD is required, which could take almost 20 minutes. But as IGN stated, this 20 minutes actually pays you back by the reduced loading time compared to Xbox360, especially in cutscenes or another pause in the actions. Ratings: Gameplay : 9/10 The actions / combos will make you cry both for joy and desperation Graphic : 9/10 Excellent graphic in both game and cutscenes Sound : 8/10 Nice soundtracks, hard rock and classic, but repetitive Replay Value : 9/10 2 Default mode and 4 Unlockable mode Overall : 8.75 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Last edited by Vanquiz; 03-05-2008 at 12:25 AM. |

| GamingCrazy Newbie ![]() | Re: Devil May Cry 4 Good review Vanquiz, and I agree with everything with the exception of the replay value. My personal taste is that more difficulty levels does not equal to replay value, unlockables and secret characters do. But thats my own personal opinion. In all cases the game is a MUST play. Great in every single way. |

| GamingCrazy Newbie ![]() | Re: Devil May Cry 4 good review but a disagree with the 9/10 rating for gameplay, alot because of the annoying puzzles and having to walk around places to find an unblocked door to carry on through stages. but getting to play as Dante kind of balances it out but not completely. but apart from that its great!!! ![]() |

![]() but I didnt like that you dont play that much as Dante, in my opinion it was better playing as Dante than Nero. Playing as Nero was kool too but I like it better as Dante. | |
