This game looks great but the multiplayer may be too punishing for me. I don't feel that I'd like to lose favorite characters as I'd become attached to certain ones.

I totally feel you there, but dont worry you only lose minor characters. i hope you dont lose the videogame shop soldiers though that would suck! because the only place you can get them is in Japan

I'd heard it was prretty good. Been thinkin of gettin it but might go with tekken first.
