| You Guys Rock! | Puzzle Quest : Challenge of the Warlords Review Puzzle Quest : Challenge of the Warlords Review ![]() By: Vahid Mirjamali A week ago in the mail i received another game to review form D3publisher. This game was not something i expected as i have never heard of such a thing on the pc or on a video game console; This game is Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords. What makes it stand out is not its crispy clear graphics or it nicely drawn character but it’s addictive Puzzle RPG game play. Yes that is right, i said PUZZLE RPG and to date i believe this is one of the first ones i have seen or even heard about. ![]() Graphics: The visuals are nicely done with a vibrant feel to each gem and character design. When you are on the RPG map the character designs changes based on the weapon he is holding, and the castles shown vary based on how important that castle is to the main character. The graphics do a lot of help your eyes stay fresh after playing nonstop all night long. ![]() Story line: Basically in the beginning of the game you do the usual rpg input, essentially the name of your character, it’s gender, and then its class (Warrior, Druid, Wizard, and Knight). Then immediately a tutorial comes up and teaches you how to play leading to the story of the game where the undead are appearing again from the lands beyond and they are attacking the nearby countries as well as yours. Your mission is to destroy these undead, the orcs, and enemies out there to save not only your country, but also your country’s allies as well. The story was nicely done, and i noticed some bits of comedy in there which came out nicely. ![]() Game Play: The puzzle based gameplay uses a simple system of match up a straight line of 3-5 gems, and based off that you can gain either mana, experience, gold, or inflict damage upon the enemy. After getting used to the game it gets quite addictive, and can cause you to have some sleepless nights. With the use of mana you can use spells which can either heal you, inflict damage upon the enemy, or add stats or your health. Each character type has many different spells, and you can learn spells from captures enemies. You can build a castle of your own and make dungeons, statues, and towers to increase your power in the game. Believe me on this game, this game surprisingly is in depth for a puzzle game, and that is a good thing! | Re: Puzzle Quest : Challenge of the Warlords Review I also highly reccomend it. It really gets cool when you have alot of stuff. You can ride mounts (right now I have a rat), capture enemy spells, and even besiege other castles around you. This game is available for the DS, PSP, and soon to be on the PC. If you are really cheap you can try and find it in the DL section since it is only like 100MB |

| Re: Puzzle Quest : Challenge of the Warlords Review Hmm, thanks for the recommendation. I was pissed off as we don't have many good games on PSP lately (except DJ MAX 2, expect a review from me! ) Hopefully, i can get into this ![]()
