GTA San Andreas stories....Could such a vast game fit on the umd?

i was playing gta IV the other day and it hit me...can san andreas fit on a umd? Its a vast place stimulating a state, so i'm wondering, could the next GTA PSP game be based on San Andreas???

Probably not but it would be funny if they released it in three UMDs.

Bringing back the Playstation Multi-Disks.

i'm sure they could make it work if they wanted to. they would of been better off releasing that instead of chinatown wars, IMO.

I don't know why, but that same idea hit me randomly today and I wonder why anyone hasn't done that yet. I think developers value that "Gamers like one disc/UMD" too highly. I mean, don't get me wrong, if every other game had multiple discs then it would be a hassle. But the few that could actually benefit from it should give it a shot. Adding more depth, detail and story to a game wouldn't hurt.


On second thought, they probably see the hand-held market as a "play & put down" type of deal. Where games usually aren't played for longer than 20mins. Ah well.
