Re: Converting pmp vidoes

im pretty sure pmp is just xvid video and mp3 audio, cant remember right now but im almost posistive thats what it is...

to change it you would probably have to find a way to demux the audio and video and then have the video put into an avi container, then mux the new avi video and mp3 audio with virtual dub mod.

I dont know of any program that even opens pmp videos, so i dont think its possible to convert them atm

Re: Converting pmp vidoes

Yeah, PMP is the format for PMP Mod, which plays back full-resolution movies on the PSP (480x272). PMP is a modified kind of AVI, and for the life of me, I can't understand why nothing will play it on a PC. Media players don't care about extensions (.PMP, .AVI, . . .) very much. They just care about understanding headers and codecs. So why don't they work? It's frustrating.

Why would you want to convert PMPs? They work on the PSP as is, and they are usually much better quality than MP4s. All you need is PMP Mod, which I understand has been made to work with 2.xx firmwares. (Not completely sure about this.)
