You know this question comes up all the time, and I always used to say this.

If you want an arcadey type game, which is easy to pick up and play, with all the official names, sponsers and kits, go for FIFA

If you want a game that truely plays like the real thing, is very tough to play at first, but once you master it, will bring you loads of joy. Then go for Winning Eleven (called Pro Evo in U.S./Europe).

HOWEVER, the latest version of FIFA '07 is extremely good, the gameplay on the PSP has been improved dramatically, in fact I think they may have 'borrowed' heavily by looking at the Pro Evo (WE) series. I have a copy of FIFA at the moment and it has replaced my copy of Pro Evo 5 as my fav. footie game on the PSP (don't even talk to me about FIFA Street or World Tour Soccer!).

The next installment of Pro Evo is due out in a few weeks, so I will hold judgement until then on which is better.

But for the moment, if you really can't wait till Pro Evo 6 comes out, I'd say go for FIFA '07 rather than the old version of Pro Evo (PE 5) as that version lacks loads of features, and really isn't that great on the PSP.

hey iv always been a fifa fan over pro evo,i prefer the instant rewards that it gives u over pro evo,id rather have some short burts of fun rather than heavily getting involved in a footy game,i mean,id rather play the real thing!but iv noticed fifa has gotten worse over the years as it tries to be more like pro evo and because of this i still only play fifa 2001 whenever im in the mood to play football games.iv heard that fifa 07 is suposed to be better than all previous games but am not sure.wats it really like for the psp?

pro evo is twenty times better in gameplay and graphics than FIFA, search the web for pro evo watson and you'll get an update file for pro 5 which gives the new kits and transfers and all the official teams and leagues, FIFA is supposed to be realistic yet every shot a lower league team takes from outside the box will go in...arcadey

dude everyone has their own opinions and you probably already made up your mind before posting . . . and winning eleven is way better well way better then fifa 06 . . . i don't know about 07 but hey they are both games but i would get winning eleven . . .

dunno about psps fifa 07 but the pc one is far far better than the old fifa installments. I myself am more of the winning eleven fan but i must say EA has finally done research on ball physics rather than just beef up graphics
But until PES 6 comes out , its hard to judge which is better for now ( Tho WE9 on psp is a failure IMO)

i would get both because they are borh good in some ways but ive always been a fifa fan so i prefer that one

it al depends on your choice fifa is much better with graphics. U will find all the characters name sponsors etc. But the gameplay of pro is anytime better.
