Re: AVC Vs. Standard MP4

Anyone know if Total Video Converter converts to AVC? This is what it looks like..

Oo my other software "ImToo 3GB VC" converts to AVC (AVC is a kind of a mp4, who woulda thought)

I never tried an AVC before. Does anyone know if I can put it in the Video folder without renaming it to a M4VXXX.mp4 name? Because I've tired putting MP4'S without the M4CXXX.mp4 name, but it says CURRPTED DATA.

Re: AVC Vs. Standard MP4

Updated PSP's or OE firmwires have a folder of 'VIDEO" in the ROOT.

But I've heard .mp4's don't have to be renamed to that Mxxxx.mp4 if you are putting it in the VIDEO folder, yet mine don't work..

weird cuz it should work if its a regular mp4, but if its an AVC it wont work in the Video folder only the MP_ROOT one, tried it myself once

Re: AVC Vs. Standard MP4

If you're going to download any kind of format for yor PSP, AVC is the way to go. It has better quality and less space.

I don't know the numbers, but it creates smaller file sizes and better quality than standard MP4. I use MP4 for my iPod using videora ipod converter and use PSP Video 9 to convert my files into AVCs. I can get DVD rips under 400 MBs on good quality settings in AVC whereas it would be about 600 or 700 on standard MP4 and the quality isn't near as good.

like they say, avc is much better in quality than a normal mp4 and is smaller in size.
