Your take on Manhunt 2

As you all have probably heard, Manhunt 2 has been rejected for the second (by some big fancy British video game rating board). Rockstar games, the company that have made various other game titles such as the GTA series, believes that the game is being watered down by some big fancy British video game rating board.

The point of the game, I guess, is killing, blood, guts, and gore.

Which I personally think is exactly why they should not publish the game. (Woohoo! Go some big fancy British video game rating board!) The game is just about violence. There is no solid storyline to the game, which makes it even more wrong. Games that are bloody like the Halo series I can understand, but this is brutally bloody. I think there is absolutely no point in publishing this game.

But that is my opinion. If you think it is a happy game where you get to go around and play killer, go ahead!!! If you think it is a happy, worthwhile, morraly correct game, say so! Or if you think it is wrong and support some big fancy British video game rating board please post here as well.

Im not a serial killer or anything so dont get upset for any reason but that game was awesome.

Im basically speechless about how awesome that game was...

I don't believe in people going totally mad because they played a video game. I don't believe in kids that grow up with these kind of games will be drawn into it and might fck up later. I don't believe in blaming video games for murders, want someone to blame it on? Parents..

I liked playing Manhunt 1. It's different then all the FPS games these days. I'm not some guy that really is going for the gore, the game play is fun.

There is a lot more going on that fcks with people's heads. A game with a bit gore, what harm can it really do? It might scare some kids, but they wont shoot their parents cause they think they might respawn.

But this is me, a 19 year old guy without any kids

Edit: I'm just reading a news article on a 10 Year old kid that jumped of a flat cause his parents forbid him to play on his computer. But yeah, it doesn't say anything about his mental health (history).

I still think that it's just plain wrong. And oh, it's not just a little gory.
Play games that are less gory.

I'm in New Zealand, and"They" banned the first one
I managed to get hold of it and LOVED it, but if they banned the first they will most likely ban the sequel... Oh well, 2 looks awesome also ;-)

A option to remove the gore? Thing I hate bout these games are basically the gore.

They always distract me from gameplay I've never played ManHunt so I don't know whats it like. But I've played other games that are have some gore like Unreal Tournament, I'm always distracted by it, so basically I turn it off and I play alot better then I normally do.

Having gore in the game is basically another distraction ... as long as it isn't really fully gorish then there should be no problem with the game. But in this case sounds pretty .... bloody. Chances are kids have already seen something scary or gory. I've heard kids from Elementary watching some scary movies , I've heard they play games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil. It looks as if there is no problem with it anymore ... everyone is so familiar with blood.

But ... I'd say to let it go and get it published, the parents can decide if they want their kids to play some game like this. Heaps of people would like to play games like these.
If you aren't allowed to play it just play something like GTA or Hitman.

I've played Manhunt and I thought it was a bit much. I remember thinking to myself while playing for the first and only time, "you've got to be a complete psychopath to really enjoy this" (no offense to anyone here who likes the game)...lol. So as you can imagine, I won't be buying the second game when it comes out.

So if you like the games, have fun!
