| ҉ řðћǻȵȿʊςћở ҉ ![]() | is it possible to write your own umd discs? i downloaded an iso file of flOw off the internet but im not on cfw so i cant run it, is it possible to put the files in the iso onto a blank umd disc? do these things exist: a burnable umd disc special umd cases that open anything to make a custom psp umd disc ![]()

| Moderator ![]() | Re: is it possible hahaha, flat out no? my friend showed me a movie burnt onto a umd. now I didnt see him start it, so Im actually pretty sure it was just the movie on his psp/a game with the movie so it had the menus and shit, but apparently he claimed to have gotten it from his cousin, but that was a while back if it WERE possible though, it wouldnt be without custom firmware. it doesnt have the copyright bypass, only the modded psp does.

My Mood: Credits: 88,331 | Re: is it possible From what the last I heard was that all the game developers and movie companies use their developer kits to assemble the files and only Sony can actually burn them to disks. Or at least Sony controlled companies, that's why prices are so high. There are no commercial burners and there are no blanks available unless they are stolen. The UMD is not a consumer usable product that has any players or readers except the PSP, if Sony actually had any plans for the UMD there would have been a UMD drive in the PS3, unlike DVD's or Blue Ray which do have consumer usable value. The UMD is a dead format without any support other than the PSP.

My Mood: Credits: 88,331 | Re: is it possible 2 PSP's are not needed to get custom firmware. All you need is a pandora battery and a working PSP and a PC to connect to for the creation of the magic memory stick.
