Help needed vet outta the game needs to be filled in.

hows it going guys. I need a bit of help, I recently found my psp again and was looking stuff up for it. but it seems alot has changed since the last time i messed with my psp.

I wanted to know if someone could fill me in with whats new to the homebrew community(more specifically custom firmware wise) and what else i need to know.



ill post my current psp FW in a bit i need to charge it first

edit:I have an originally 1.50 psp which i upgraded to a 3.52 m33-3 with inacor XMB mod.

edit:I have an originally 1.50 psp which i upgraded to a 3.52 m33-3 with inacor XMB mod.

You need to uninstall inacor XMB mod(you will have to find one that is for the firmware that you install) and upgrade to 4.01m33-2 or 5.00m33-4.

There is a guide HERE this will take you to 5.00m33-4 but if you want 4.01m33-2 just substitute the 4.01m33-2 and the official 4.01 firmware for the 5.00 stuff.

I have 4 psp's all of which were bricked and to find out you can unbrick them now is a sigh of relief.Back in 2004 or 2005 i would test flashing capibilties for dev's and would go through psp's like water but i sold the majority of them for parts since they did me no good.


I updated to 5.00 M33-4 instead and i was thinking about 5.02 GEN-A but i think 5.00 m33 should be enough to let me play newer games till maybe marchish when games will start to require the new firmware. The way i got rid of inacor was by placing the 1.50 firmware in the recovery folder of my MS and loaded up the recovery menu in 3.52 M33-4 and downgraded that way then went back up to 3.52 and subsequently to 5.00 M33-4
