5.03 psp-1003 - cfw?

Hi all, I've got a PSP1003(Phat) on 5.03 & have been asked if it can use CFW. Its been a long time since I've put any CFW on a PSP - can anyone tell me the best thing to use, I've seen things like ChickenHen etc, so would really like to know the best route to put CFW on.

I'm not too positive what you mean here, are you asking about installing a CFW on a 5.03 OFW PSP? I'm not 100% you can do that. If you use the Pandora Battery to downgrade then you can install the CFW. Home-brew enablers like the Hen are made for you to use Home-brew on OFW's without installing a CFW but it's better to have a CFW due to the features you get with one.

seen different things around how to do it, just wandered what was the best method now( was easy with my psp 1.5!!)

The best method is still the pandora battery and magic memory stick, it does not matter what firmware you are on.

All PSP1000's can run cfw.

Buddy, If do not have a pandora battery, Use chickHEN, then a Hellcat's Recover Flasher 1.60 to install a permanent CFW 5.00 M33..and if own a pandora battery, make MMS to install CFW....and you own a hackable PSP Phat 1003, so do this. enjoy buddy

Yeah when all else fails go with the Pandora method.
