Need some guidance. I'm a blind man without the dog!!

Hi there fellow Pspcrazy comrades.

After coming out of hibernation (my psp that is) i came to relise that i really have missed alot in the past 2 years when it comes to homebrew and modifications to my beloved PSP.

I want to give it a new coat of firmware goodness to make him feel better for all the neglect and ignorance i have given him.

So my question is: I have currently got 3.52 M33 but what are the steps to upgrade to the most recent firmwire to play ISO's? and a brief summary of the benefits.

My PSP is a Phat PSP-1000 one of those Japanese ones. Got it before the west recieved thiers.

Also i have seen somewhere that you can have a xbox 360 boot-up or theme? can anybody give me the source?
Last question is what are your top 3 Homebrew Apps that you recommend me having on any PSP's?

I need alot to catch up. I'm already out of breath...

I'm in the same boat. Soooo much has changed since the psp first came out

From 3.52m33 you will need to go to 3.52m33-4. From there you can go to any custom firmware you want5.00m33-6 is the newest. There is a guide in the tutorial on how to manually upgrade to 5.00m33-6.
