Icon9 Need urgent help to hack psp 2003 4.01

Hi, I got a new psp 2003 4.01, try using pandora & MMS but failed - was not reboot no led flashing. Got some info this psp is unhackable, but I do believe it's possible. Pls lead me to somewhere.

Thanks

On the newest PSP2000 & 3000 models the pandora battery and magic memory are useless, they are indeed unhackable. Your only choice is to upgrade to 5.03 and run the ChickHEN exploit and then the cfw enabler. This will allow you to run games and homebrew from your memory stick but it is not permanent. Every time that you shut your PSP down amd restart you will have to go thru the process again as this only runs in memory.

For these 2000 & 3000 models there is no permanent cfw install, this is the only method you have available at this time.

Thanks so much, as I worked long hours to hack it. So this particular model 2003 is similar to 3003 then.
Really appreciate it.

The ChickHEN and cfw enabler are not permanent hacks, they only resides in memory so every time you shut you PSP down you will have to re run the ChickHEN and then run the cfw enabler for the games to work. The only thing that you don't have to do is to do the PC flashing part to your PSP.

Re: Need urgent help to hack psp 2003 4.01

chickhen his pretty shitty. but you said its on 4.01? if thats the default fw or if its lower, then shouldnt it be an older psp able to use pandora? maybe youre just doing it wrong -_- no offense

also, did you make the pandora yourself or did you buy it used? if you bought it used, then it may just be dead. i made mine and a few months later, it died and it wont retain a charge. i can still get it to work, but its a bitch because i feel like im playing simon says lol i have to try different orders on putting the mms, pandora and the charger in. hope this helped. if there is no light on at all and you have an older psp, then its dead. try it out on a friends psp and see if it boots. if it wont come on on a phat, then its dead. youll know its dead if the orange light blinks on and off while its in there. just keep messing with it and it should work. hope i helped ^_^"

Re: Need urgent help to hack psp 2003 4.01

99.9% of all PSP2000(slims) that came out of the box with 4.01 or higher have the new motherboard that is unhackable by the pandora method. There were a few that came out with 3.95 that also had the new motherboard but not many. If it was second hand and it was upgraded to 4.01 then it should be hackable by the pandora method.

Re: Need urgent help to hack psp 2003 4.01

A PSP2003 is a designation of a PSP European model. This has nothing to do with the motherboard that is inside it. The model motherboard is the determining factor on whether it can be hacked or not. Just like all other model 2000 series PSP's the older ones can be hacked and the newest ones can not(except by ChickHEN and cfw enabler at fw 5.03). The only way to tell is by what firmware was installed on it when it came out of the box. Starting with 4.01 the PSP had a new motherboard that can not be hacked just like all the PSP3000 models. TA-088v3 I believe was the mb #.
