Re: Impressions on PSP Piracy

You can't automatically assume that if someone downloads the game then the developers are losing money because who's to say that person would have bought that game if piracy didnt exist. Like I downloaded virtua tennis and played it some, but if piracy didnt exist i wouldn't buy that game, so the developer isnt losing money on me downloading it because they wouldnt have gotten any money from me in the first place.

Re: Impressions on PSP Piracy

I would buy the games I like most, like Monster Hunter, Tekken, and Ridge Racers.
But for games I'll play once in a while I turn to ISOs!

Re: Impressions on PSP Piracy

Piracy wouldnt be an issue if games didnt cost soo much, $50. If theres a game that got really great reviews, I would "rent" it and then eventually buy it. But overall PSP games and UMDs cost way too much and the sony company makes soo much money. I dont think its hurting anyone.

Re: Impressions on PSP Piracy

yo i buy the occasional game, but if i had the right version of psp, you'd bet that i'd pirate games, after all, the company that makes these games gets so much money, how can i affect their MILLIONS of profit? thats my take on it anyway

Re: Impressions on PSP Piracy

It would be nice if everyone could just try to buy 1 UMD every 3 months or so. I honestly don't think piracy hurts the PSP that much, it just doesn't feel like theres that much going on out there. PS2 has swap magic, which is really easy to buy. The PS2 is the best console out there.

Re: Impressions on PSP Piracy

I don't think iso's would be as big a problem as they are if sony wasn't forcing all our hands by trying to make us update our firmware, I mean, we want homebrew. It's that simple, stop trying to make us update our firmware and we won't result to iso loaders or firmware launchers or umd emulators or any of that, cause it won't be neccasary, sony dug their own grave on this one. So now, we paid 250 for our system and we can't play any of the good new games that are coming out unless we give up the utter joy and fun of the homebrew scene.......NO THANK YOU SONY, I for one love my homebrew and its the only thing that keeps me playing my psp's cause I know damn well I wouldn't be playing it if I just had the crappy games selection thats been released thus far. So to all you whiners complaining about iso usage, I say, find a way to remove the stick from sony's ass so we can play homebrew across all firmwares by legal means or shut up, cause I am not giving it up and will continue to use any and all programs that allow me to bend the rules to my liking.......We are the gamers, we make the decisions, not some worldwide electronics conglomerate only looking out for their well being, and trying to use us to fatten their pockets. PEACE OUT B1tCH35
