Re: Impressions on PSP Piracy

I think piracy is bad for the industy, and prevents better games from coming out.

I have downloaded the odd iso in the past, to test the game, and back my own games up, but those are games I've bought, as I believe if you like the game, then you should buy it. People who download because they can, and complete the game, annoy me

And if you say you can't afford it, then why do you have a PSP to start with, how did you afford that?

Re: Impressions on PSP Piracy

Never heuard before that some people may play without pay?

How can it be possible?

I've bought all my games for sure, how could they develop games if people don't pay for it?

Wow, I can't believe their are two stickies that say basically the same exact thing
Well like I said in the other sticky

People need to buy games to keep the industy running. Testing games out with ISOs is ok, seeing as the game might downright suck, I'm looking at you Sonic Rivals (so glad I didn't buy it), or if the game isn't available in your region, because importing games can be frustrating and they should have released it everywhere, now I'm looking at you Tales of series and DJ Portable Max. I like to buy my games, it saves space on my MS and I'm more encouraged to play them, still haven't beaten Tales of Eternia or Ridge Racer, only ISOs I keep.

I hate the load times on my UMDs but I like the UMD concept. I have the games [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], T.H.U.G. 2 Remix, and Me and My Katamari, and will eventually get GTA:LCS, FFVII CC when it comes out, and others. But right now the Wii games look more fun.

Of course when the 32gb MS comes out and I buy it, I might become a hypocrite and load a bunch of games on since I will have 30gb more space to spare.

No, they broke the limitations, you can even mod a gamepack that allows other memory units to be used with the PSP to go up to 32gb. Sony and Sandisk are even planning on releasing 16gb and 32gb MSProDuos next year and the year after.

Re: Impressions on PSP Piracy

If Sony released more demo's, I think there would be less piracy.

I only use iso's to test the games before I buy. And if I like, I go and buy it, if not, I delete it (well, ok, my partner, I've only just got my PSP, but it's the same for both of us)

If you have no intention of buying the game, then why download it. If it sucks so much that you won't buy it, why download it? Thats what I have the problem with

Re: Impressions on PSP Piracy

The only iso's I have downloaded are GTA:VCS because the UMD I bought was scratched (was second hand, and not cared for by its previous owner!), and MGSO simply because of the 5 month delay of the UK release. I will, however, be buying the UK version when it gets released!
