Impressions on PSP Piracy

i dont agree with the ISO section on PSPcrazy, and i think it would be okay if its done away with, but i really like the movie and tv show sections, they save me a lot of time, because i dont have to rip a DVD, then convert to PSP, and then have to worry about the audio goind out of sync

but how is that any different? last i checked dowloading movies and tv shows are just as illegal as downloading games.

Yea, i wouldnt miss the iso section but keep the wallpapers and such. I never used isos even when I did have 1.5, i have not bought a new game in four months (and believe it or not, I AM still alive) but may be getting one soon. I think that the people who use isos are having fun but are spoiling it for others. I think homebrew is cool but not isos since they are killing developers, read the main feature on the pspcrazy website for the full story...

Gotta agree with u there xboxmods, bout the movie downloads. I do browse them quite a lot, and download.

Ok yeh its nice to download n watch a movie i havent got. But also, even if i have got the movie. It soo much quicker to download it from here, than to take it from the DVD (DVD shrink) and convert (PSP video 9). On average it normally takes half the time to download as what it does to convert. Yeh i'm bein lazy but of course i'm gonna do it if it saves me time

only about 5% of psp owners are pirates
its not like the company's are taking a hit just like the HDD for PS2 and The Swap disc trick for PS2

What I think he means is that he own's the movies but downloads rips for his PSP. Personally, I've done this once as I couldn't find my DVD, so I downloaded to watch, then deleted.

There is a weird matter with getting rid of these "illegal" sections.

One hand, people download without purchase, hence being illegal as they have no orignal copy which is why we should get rid of them (PSPCrazy becoming some sort of "piracy" network not far off of PirateBay).

Then again, people download stuff for ligitimate reasons such as backup. We even have internet shows such a Pure Pwnage to download as a PSP file legit.

My personal opinion if push came to shove is that PSPCrazy gets rid of these sections, or heavly regulates them as to keep this site all legit.

If you want to watch a movie or TV show, then I suggest you download it here. It's quick, fast, and non-time consuming. That's why direct downloads are the easiest to download from instead of a torrent. I really can't stand ripping a DVD, takes forever.

this may not be true everywhere but as far as i know, in north america, it is just as illegal to download movies and shows that u already own as it is downloading one don't. even ripping a movie u own is illegal since it requires u to break the copyright encriptions on the dvd.
i know this is totally stupid but from a legal standpoint pretty much the whole entire direct download section is illegal. so saying that u support one of these sections and condoning the use of another doesn't make sense.
