I own 20+ UMD game titles, I don't want to talk about how many backups I have but you can imagine. Well at least I own four PSPs. Black PSP Phat, Star Wars White Slim, Daxter Silver Slim and Red God Of War Slim. I will be purchasing the blue Maddon 09 Slim and I'm thinking about getting a Black Slim. I know I'm PSP system crazy but I have to collect every color PSP available. And yes I'll pick up a game or two here and there. Is Piracy wrong? Yes! But I'm having too much fun. I've never done it in the past but I think I deserve a little relief here and there seeing how I own every system ever to hit US shelves and practically every game for each system ever available in the US. I single handedly have kept every past and current system in the black. Yes, I know it's still wrong!

Honestly, I do use ISOs because I don't have the money to buy UMDs. I'm not that rich but I know that it is not a reason to use pirated games.

well........ in dubai psp is 950 dirham........now see some calcs below....
normal UMD in dubai is 120-200 dirham ......... we take 150 average..... now
150 * 6 = 900 ...... that means i am buying 6 uMD or 1 PSP....... is it normal ????????

u know most of the PSP user just dont buy because its not costly but because its not valued ......!! because i can buy the machine to run for just 6 UMD......

IF developer and sony .......cut down the price of UMD to low level then it can increse the sales volume .....because no body then will bother to wait ...for days to download a torrent game......!! they wont stuck in the wait process and they will encourage to buy the UMD if the UMD price is low.....let say 5 to 10 dollar....... then i thing even the poorest guy can afford it........ !

and i support the good work but in case of UMD>.......i AM STRONG supporter of ISO ........ and CRACKING of PSP ......... just becasue of 1 reason that they are forcing us to buy DVD at very high price which is a low valued item......!!

go ISO GO ..........we love to play CRACK till they wont drop the price.....

by the way i am my self a programmer ..and respects good work .....and usually buy products.......geniune ones....... not cracked but in case of UMD.......i am intentionally uncivilized.....!! lolz.....

Sounds about right to me. The price for 6 PSP Games are equal to the price of the PSP System.

imo its not technically stealing, thats the bottom line, because no physical item is stolen, only data. sure there's a theft law for that but its so slack that nothing's going to happen, and even maybe courts and such dont even consider it stealing, especially in canada.

destructive hackers and virus makers are found and persecuted, not teenagers wanting free games, and I think thats the way it should be

The data is what we pay for. The physical UMD allows us to hold that intangible data, and that UMD itself is worth pennies. One could argue that downloading that data and using it without paying is stealing.

Gaming as proved by 01PyTypeR#1140 is NOT a cheap hobby. gamers here in Japan are the same. For those who cant dont make enough to buy every game they want, downloading is the most viable choice, which is completely understandable. Downloading does, however, have a impact on the pricing of games. If everyone bought games instead of downloading them the prices would be cheaper.

The question of downloading games without paying wont be solved any time soon. I imagine there's a Nobel in it for the person who can solve this problem and that person would probably be more likely to come up with a solution to reverse global warming or discover who killed JFK.

Yeah, piracy is wrong! But will it make game developers stop developing new games and improving on old ones? I don't think so. Remember Microsoft? Adobe? Why are they still in business and getting stronger? In my humble opinion, pirates made these guys grow bigger!
