| I notice that if you upgrade to Quicktime Pro for 29.95, it says that one of the features is MP4 exporting. Does anyone know if this works well with the PSP? How much control do you have over the output in terms of aspect ratio/framerate, etc.? Has anyone used this to make PSP movies? |

| Re: Mac MP4 Video Encoders Converters for the PSP! ive been looking at these things over the weekend, as i go tmy PSP on friday (japanese model, upgraded the system software, have a 512meg pro duo, using MAC OS X 10.4.x). i am mostly interested in converting movie trailers downloaded online, so need to work on ASF, WMV and REALPLAYER files. so far, all i can find are clear mentions of WMV being a difficult one, and in the other cases no solutions even mentioned. tried ffmegx and it seems installed now, but just generated empty files. bought PSPWARE and i cant get it to take WMV of ASF or REALPLAYER files.... though i did notice simply changing the file extension to another format can fool it into thinking its something else (MOV itried), and it PARTLY reencodes it. thing is, like iPSP, this software mentions WMV and other formats quite happily, but looking into comments online theyre not coping with these files at all. ive seen theres a program called FLIP4MAC which allows WMV to be opened in QT. QT Pro (upgrade costs $) lets you export to other formats, so theoretically used in conjuntion (or FLIP4MAC PRO at $40?) would allow me to do this. but, having paid (very little) for PSPWARE which says it will do WMV and ASF, but not having been successful, i am loathed to pay out for more and more small software which says but doesnt prove (in a non-licensed form) that it CAN do something... i think FFMEGX would be my best solution, but it just generates empty files - if anyone has a good detailed and clear guide to that piece of software and its issues, please let me know... thanks. |
