Do all new PSP's have the TA-082 Motherboard?, because I was planning on getting a new one but I was afraid I would get one with it. Anybody now how I would check before I buy?, or was there only a limited number of them made...

I started a thread not too long ago trying to find out this same information with no sucess. I was trying to find out the history behind the TA-082 just for curiousity reasons and nobody seemed to know (or at least they didn't post if they did) Good luck in your search!

I always thought they were present in the newer PSPs. The ones with higher firmwares. I'll try to do some research.

I have the same question as the OP.

I have a psp (second hand) now but it would be nice to buy a new one then downgrade it. I really don't want to have to buy, return, and re-buy.

The general consensus seems to be that the newer ones are TA-082's.

I haven't found one but I'm guessing they do. If you plan on buying one buy a used psp.

well it doesnt really matter, didnt you read about they found a way to crack ta-082 motherboards? Dark Alex done it again.

Yeah that's awsome to bad it's only for 2.7 I can't wait until he cracks 2.8 (guess wht firmware I have).

Darn, My Xbox Live expired and now I can't own any noobs.Lol.
