well....if you buy direct from amazon itself, then they should all be genuine mem cards. but because amazon has got "the market place", rouge sellers can sell fake goods on there. and unless people report the rouge sellers to amazon, they will continue to sell on there. and it can be a bit confusing knowing which items are on sale from amazon or which items are from "the market place". amazon should make it more clear to people, as to where they are buying the goods from.

personally, i stay well clear of "the market place" sellers because of this. and this is not just for mem cards. other goods too. i only trust amazon itself.

tell me about it...i have a few..and you can certainly tell the difference. not only in the appearance. you can tell the difference when you play a game off the mem card...90% of the time, they will lag a lot more than an original amongst other things.

btw, i bought a SONY 8GB Memory Stick ProDuo (Mark2) from BestBuy (legit store), and its model number was MS-MT8G, so the extra "T" isn't enough to tell the real from teh fake, I think.
