| GamingCrazy Newbie ![]() | Re: Go!Messenger List Mine is gekkostate Is Bt messenger atually worth it though? From what ive seen skype seems to be a better alternative at the moment, running from the XMB and all. Well too bad I have a phat otherwise Id be using that. Until I do decide to dish out the cash and pick up a slim Go messenger it is. |

| GamingCrazy Newbie ![]() | Re: Go!Messenger List After coming back and re-reading my post I realize that I wasn't very clear about my point . That's what you get for trying to make sense after staying awake for a little over a day.Kudos to Slasher for at least trying. Now that I'm actually awake while sitting in front of my screen. What I meant to say was, I think that skype would be a better program since it integrates into the XMB so well (Or so I believe) although my basis for this is a little shaky, from the screen shots that I've seen of skype it seems to run as an extra icon within the default XMB. so using skype does not throw you out of the main menu, and in theory you should be able to browse the rest of the menu's within the PSP. (i.e. I can just push left and go back to browsing around in the music category for example) Go messenger on the other hand is it's own little app, it runs as an extrernal program and not something codded into the main XMB. (i.e. you have to push the home button and exit out to get back to the other options in the menu.) While this isnt a big problem, I still like the idea of the messaging being coded into the system. (Im actully hoping I can multi-task with skype, listen to music while having a conversation and all.) So like I said before, until I decide to go out and buy myself a PSP slim. I guess im stuck using Go! Messenger's service. Hope this clarifies a few things. -Gekko |

| Pen Spinner ![]() | Re: Go!Messenger List My apologies. Still from my understanding Skype is kinda half - half integrated into the PSP. I don't think you'll ever be able to multi-task with Skype and any other psp function. But I do find that exiting skype is alot faster then exiting go messenger. To me ... BT .Co only made Go!Messenger for those whom had a PSP Phat, as in like a replacement for Skype except both psp's can use it.

| GamingCrazy Newbie ![]() | Re: Go!Messenger List Yup, Go! Messenger seems to be simply an afterthought to me. The App is still in its early development stages though, while im pretty sure skype has been worked on behind the scenes for a while now. So in this case Im sure Go! Messenger will only get better with time. As they say....Slow motion is better than no motion. |
